In a day & time where mainstream media encourages us to hide our blemishes, flaws, weaknesses, etc I'm hoping to challenge the status quo today & encourage you to embrace them instead!
After all, God loves imperfect people. That's why he created us this way. In fact, it is in our weakness & imperfection that his power becomes prevalent if we will allow it to.
2 Corinthians 12:19
And He said to me, “My grace is sufficient for you, for My strength is made perfect in weakness.” Therefore most gladly I will rather boast in my infirmities, that the power of Christ may rest upon me.
So for me personally I've developed this really cool way of embracing my quirkiness. I just say I'm "Imperfectly ME". Which means I'm exactly who God had in mind when he created me. From the freckles on my face; to my coily kinky hair; to my slight disorganized ways; to my football obsession. These are all things that make me, ME!!
By no means am I perfect, in fact quite the opposite. But can God still use me? HELL YEAH!! And is he doing so? ABSOLUTELY!! I'm a little rough around the edges but that's God specialty. He takes imperfect beings & uses their story for his glory! Don't believe me, check this out.
Of course I'm not going to get into each of their stories here. But if you get some free time take a look for yourselves. I'm just using this to illustrate my point. So ladies please stop trying to be something that you're not, trying to appease this world. The world didn't create you God did. He had a specific design in mind for you & a specific purpose for your life! Now let me hear you say the magic words. I'm "Imperfectly ME" & I love me some ME!! But please don't forget to give God his props as you embrace the fact that you were fearfully & wonderfully made.
"I praise you because I am fearfully and wonderfully made; your works are wonderful, I know that full well."
As you go forward in your daily journey I extend love & peace to each of you. I pray that you find your "it" and that you OWN IT. That the chains of this world be broken off of you & that you walk in the light that God intended you to walk in.
With dedication & servitude
