Any time I've ever done anything of great significance it's been simply because God was backing me. So I guess I'd have to call him the wind beneath my wings! I'd been doing some research on the book titled "Soar" by Bishop T.D. Jakes just to see what all of the hoopla was about. And I was turned on to this subject because it appears to be a pretty good read. However, i'm choosing to tackle the subject from a spiritual perspective solely while his book focuses mainly on the business side of soaring.
Soaring is a steady motion that doesn't require a bird to flap it's wings to maintain flight. This means that in order for the bird to do so it has some type of force wind behind it. Whereas flying does require a steady motion, flapping of wings to maintain flight. Both are simply beautiful & amazing but i think being able to soar guarantee's elevation to new heights. So my question for you today is, are you ready to fly or soar to your next destiny? I really believe that God want's to be the wind beneath your wings as you transition into your next dimension in life.
What's so interesting is that God gives us this insight & wisdom. And he also gives us freewill. But here's the challenge, there is the world's wisdom & then there's God's wisdom. So which will you select as you're being propelled forward & hopefully upward in Christ Jesus? I'd imagine both will yield awesome results for you but following God's wisdom ensures that you end up in alignment with his will for your life.
"But the wisdom that comes from Heaven is first of all pure; then peace-loving, considerate, submissive, full of mercy and good fruit, impartial and sincere."
If you think back to the beginning of time it seemed God had a master plan for mankind. But our homeboy & homegirl Adam & Eve messed it up big time by falling for Satan's trickery. I'm saying this because everything that's presented to you as the golden key to your destiny is not. That's why using God's wisdom & discernment is important. Choose your air carrier wisely people so that you end up at the right destination. So check this out, I thought this was pretty cool as God speaks about soaring like an eagle in scripture.
"Yet those who wait for the Lord will gain new strength; they will mount up on wings like eagles, they will run and not get tired, they will walk and not become weary."
So you see God does know a little something about soaring. But according to the scripture above it seems the strength or wind beneath our wings only comes from waiting on God. Sometimes i think we're so anxious to get to our destiny that we don't allow God's full process to take place which does require patience. Then of course we end up in a place of misery blaming God & anyone else we can, for our faulty decisions.
Truth be told many of us appear to be soaring in life, or at least that's how it appears to the naked eye. But in reality we're crying ourselves to sleep at night wishing we had patiently awaited God's direction. While all along flirting with the illusion of soaring.
If God is going to be the wind beneath your wings you've got to make certain you're following his road map for success. Otherwise you'll end up God knows where. As the saying goes, everything that glitters isn't always gold. And everyone or everything that appears to be soaring isn't always propelled by the man up above. You better believe it. But I think you'll know one hundred percent when God is backing you.
For me in my life personally a major clue that God has my back on something is when it'll seem almost effortless to achieve & it brings him glory & honor! I'm ever so thankful that God has been my co-pilot throughout life. I'm learning more and more to trust him daily. To date, he's never let me down. I can't wait to see where this next flight in life lands me. I'm so pumped right now, i literally feel like giving each of you a fist bump and shouting out load, "LET'S DO THIS LADIES, LET'S SOAR" I think God has some really cool places in store for each of you. With him as the wind beneath your wings & the co-pilot of your life you simply can't go wrong. So just sit back, relax, and enjoy the flight as God takes you to your high place.
As you go forward in your daily journey I extend love & peace to each of you. I pray that you find your "it" and you OWN IT. That the chains of this world be broken off of you & that you walk in the light that God intended you to walk in.
With dedication & servitude
